A funny method that we use here in order to get to know our students' names, is to ask them to tell their names plus the name of the food they like the best. At least here in Ecuador it is funny because of the names of food we have here. We can have students like "Pepe Caldo de bolas", "María Chugchucaras", "Juan Seco de chivo", etc.
You can use it with any kind of food or maybe drinks. It's up to you.
