what's in a name?

Post four sheets of paper on each wall of your classroom. Each paper has 1, 2, 3 and 4 circles drawn fairly large. Demonstrate the syllables in your name. Stand next to the appropriate paper. Ask each student to say their name. Mime the syllables with your fingers for a beginner's class. Each student should end up standing under one of the papers. (2 is the most common.)
