pictionary for the ears
This is good for intermediate to advanced students. The board game Pictionary comes with about 500 words that I use for my listening class. The cards have about 5 different words on them. The object of the game is to describe what the word is without saying the actual word. They cannot use their hands or make noises, they must only describe orally until their team gets the answer. I usually give about 10-15 seconds for each word. You can use this with the vocabulary words that you have in class or even spelling words. The object is to get them to talk and the rest to listen!
