The teacher reads a list of words that are members of the same category. For example: dog, cat, hamster, snake, spider, bird, fish, rabbit.... The first student to say "Pets!" gets a point. You could also give the students a chance to make up a list and read the words to the class, but it might take them some time to look up all the words. I learned this one from my TEFL teacher, Laura. Make up your own word lists beforehand - it can be harder than it sounds!
