Make slips of paper with questions or statements on them and put them into a cup or basket. Go around the class and have each student choose one slip of paper. Give them a minute to think about their answer or opinion about the statement. Students then find a partner and tell them about what is on their paper. After each partner has talked about what is on their slip of paper they trade papers and find a new partner.
I have done this activity with beginning through advanced learners and find that it is a good ice breaker or general warm up activity.
